Collagen Induction Therapy
Collagen Induction Therapy - also called Skin or Dermal Needling - is a non-surgical skin regeneration procedure that stimulates the formation of collagen and elastin and helps to tighten and restore elasticity. It may significantly improve the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, sun damage, acne scarring and enlarged pores. It can even help to improve the appearance of stretch marks.
Very fine needles are used to penetrate the upper layers of the skin and create thousands of tiny punctures, this causes natural growth factors to be released as the body starts the healing process.
We use the German-made Dermastamp for our collagen induction therapy. It's a motor driven system, electronically controlled and engineered to provide a consistent and effective treatment. It also allows the length of the needles to be changed throughout the needling process so we can create a customised treatment for each client.
- Full Face $325
- Full Face + Neck $375

This is probably the best technology available to improve elasticity, firmness and the overall tone of your skin.

Collagen doesn't only occur in the skin, it is an essential protein found throughout the body. It gives our skin it's strength and structure. From our mid-twenties we gradually start to lose collagen and this can lead to a loss of firmness and the lines associated with ageing.
The treatment isn't painful as we apply a topical numbing cream to the face or neck prior to the procedure to make sure you are comfortable throughout.
Any area can be treated. The face and neck are most popular but we do many treatments on the back and shoulders to help with acne scarring. This treatment can also help to improve the appearance of surgery scars and stretch marks on the body.
Your therapist will be able to advise you when you have your consultation. Usually it's a series of 3 to 5 sessions with 4 weeks between treatments. To maintain the benefits we recommend repeating the course every 12 months.
Yes, this is an excellent treatment whatever your skin tone.
Your skin will be cleansed and then the topical anaesthetic will be massaged into the skin.
Once the anaesthetic has taken effect the needling can start - a vitamin and peptide infusion is applied allowing the active ingredients to work deep into the skin.
Afterwards a pure hyaluronic acid mask is applied to soothe and nourish and there's a relaxing head and shoulder massage while the mask is working. To finish off we recommend red light therapy to speed up the healing process.
Immediately after the treatment the skin is quite pink and possibly red and slightly grazed looking in some areas, the skin may be slightly swollen due to the inflammation we have deliberately caused. You may be pink for 24 - 72 hours but you can apply a good quality mineral foundation, such as jane iredale, from the day after the treatment. It's important to use a mineral make-up to ensure the skin isn't irritated.
You will be given detailed aftercare instructions after your treatment. You will also be given a cooling and hydrating mask to take home which you can use that evening.
Keep the skin clean and moisturised using products recommended by your therapist. Avoid touching the skin and avoid any active skin care until the skin has settled. Avoid the sun and use a zinc based SPF30 until the healing is complete.
If you have any concerns then call your therapist immediately.
Improvement should be noticeable quite quickly though the full effects will take around six weeks to appear.
